Dolce Vita

I recently discovered a new store in Charleston called Little Black Dress, and they carry so much more than just cute black dresses.  They’ve got dresses for every occasion, from day to formal, and in every color of the rainbow.  The accessories are from Candy Shop Vintage by local designer Deirdre Zahl.  Her love of vintage has inspired her to design her signature collection of jewelry.

Sporty Aztec

This aztec printed dress from Thera M. is both cute and functional, I think every dress should have pockets in it.  You can find a variety of must have basics and stand out pieces at Thera M. on King Street downtown.  The hat and sneakers are from Continuum Skate Shop where they stock an extensive selection of skate boards, clothes, and sneakers.  The necklace by Einhorn Creative is designed by local innovator, Deon Carson.  He uses vintage and found objects to create his one of a kind pieces.

SP Smoking Winter Formal 2013 by K. Cooper Ray

PicMonkey Czcdollage PicMonvsdgkey Collage asda K. Cooper Ray of Social Primer is not your typical southern gentleman.  Although he grew up as a seventh generation Alabaman, his residences in Milan, New York, Cape Cod, and Los Angeles have given him a metropolitan perspective of fashion and lifestyle.  While still embracing his southern roots, his blog Social Primer is a testimony to his belief in proper etiquette and an homage to preppy style. His runway show featuring SP Smoking Winter Formal is inspired by classic tailoring infused with modern touches such as all over prints and mixing formal tuxedo jackets with denim and camouflage.

My good friend and local street wear aficionado, Tyler Jordan Mansour is the man behind Memory’s Museum.  It’s a limited edition line of men’s and women’s t-shirts based on Tyler’s travels and experiences. They are all original photographs that he has taken and manipulated to create a one of a kind design, like this Eiffel tower image from his trip to Paris.  You can buy his t-shirts at Charleston’s premiere street wear trade show The Big Mix on Oct. 19th at the YMCA downtown.  To make sure you get you get your size, you can also pre-order at salesinquiries@memorysmuseum.com
