Mount Pleasant’s First Vintage Shop, Cavortress is having their grand opening today and are having special deals all this weekend.   The Mount Pleasant vintage boutique offers conspicuous classics for the closet and home.  Among the rare designer vintage brands, they offer affordable prices to make it easy to purchase both impulse items and gift ideas.
Julie Wheat, the brainchild behind Cavortress, hails from a small town outside Buffalo, New York.  As a teenager, she designed, sewed, and riveted bags for the orchard industry. Julie’s experience in fashion right here in Charleston has given her abundant opportunities such as a contestant in Charleston Fashion Week’s emerging design competition, a professor at the Art Institute of Charleston in the fashion retail management, costume designer, seamstress, and stylist on a number of films, music videos, commercials, print campaigns, as well as a key note speaker for fashion week events and conventions.  Her knowledge and great eye for fashion both past and present gave her the motivation to open the Cavortress Boutique so she can share it with the world.

I love mixing patterns and prints together.  This top and skirt from V2V Charleston is the perfect example of mixing things up without looking crazy.  The heart Moschino bag from The Trunk Show is probably one of my favorite finds to date.

At this point I believe the motorcycle should be a staple in every women’s closet.  It can give your look an edge instantly without trying too hard.  Pearl  in Mt. Pleasant has several motorcycle jackets from leather to waxed cotton, to black and beige.  Always good to have options ladies.
