Endless Summer

Taking a beach break at the Refinery 29 and Malibu Rum Beach House a couple of weeks ago in Myrtle Beach was an essential part of my fun trip.  With my latest purchases – a high waisted neon tiger printed bikini by Michael Kors for only $40 from Holy City Consignment and this Donut float from Pink Chicken New York I couldn’t resist a quickie shoot with Jon Stell and a dip in the ocean.  What I love about South Carolina is the endless summer and beach trips well into October.

The Refinery 29 and Malibu Rum Beach House I co-hosted a couple of weeks ago in Myrtle Beach was the perfect little weekend getaway.  This traveling party has been setting up in cities like Miami, Venice Beach, Dallas, Chicago, and Montauk all summer long.  Dalia Dalili and Camela Guevara of Gem Sounds were there from Charleston to help me host this fun shindig filled with yummy southern eats, endless cocktails, photo booth action, and a larger than life connect four.  Angel Verde, who’s the amazing street style photographer behind The Stylepreneur, impressed everyone with his diverse DJ set as well.  The Beach House was also great to connect with my creative Myrtle Beach friends like jewelry designer Ash Hoffman and photographer Jon Stell, who snapped away these pictures at the party.  My only regret was that I couldn’t spend 1 more night in town enjoying the local side of Myrtle.  Until next time……………

Botany Beauty

Exploring the beauty of Botany Bay takes you back to a raw natural setting of what South Carolina beaches use to look like.  The nature preserve was the ideal setting to snap some pictures in this flowy cover up by Blue Rod Beattie, a company known for it’s versatile swimwear that fits all body types.  The handmade African cowry shell necklace from IBU has been one of my all time favorite accessories and the store can’t keep it in stock, but don’t fret, they’re taking pre-orders for this wildly popular item.

The Beauty Blogger night out at Cos Bar Charleston a couple of weeks ago was a hit with the local style and beauty influencers.  It was a fun filled evening full of makeup demos, drinks, treats, and blogger buddies getting primped and ready for a night out.  The all service beauty emporium stocks the latest product from well known brands across the globe, and they made sure their swag bags represented their diverse selection.  A few of my favorites were the Sisley blue eyeliner in a metallic blue, Clinique high impact mascara, and local company Georgie Beauty faux lashes.  Thanks to Cos Bar, I’m quickly becoming a product junkie!

Having the opportunity to shoot at the della Porta’s house was dream come true.  The well manicured gardens of their historical house downtown was the perfect setting for a photo shoot.  Donatella and Giulio della Porta are the owners of The Hidden Countship, a boutique filled with handcrafted Italian goods tucked away on Burns Lane.  Just steps away from the hustle and bustle of King Street the della Porta’s really know how to transport you into the tranquil setting of Italy in Charleston.
