Dress to Room Pairings at the CSOL Designer Showhouse

The annual Charleston Symphony Orchestra League Designer Showhouse kicked off a couple of weeks ago during Charleston Fashion Week.  Over 18 interior designers each styled a room in this gorgeous renovated house that was originally built circa 1840.  Located at 36 Society Street, the grand house was the perfect canvas for the designers to style from floor to ceiling.

In honor of Charleston’s most fashionable week design genius and co-chair of the event, Julianne Taylor of Taylor Burke Home orchestrated a Dress to Room Pairings.  Each room was paired with a local boutique or designer that styled an outfit that reflected the essence of the room.  I was happy to help scout the fashion pairings that went perfectly with each room.  This project was a labor of love for everyone involved.  Don’t miss out on this beautiful house that will be on display until April 15th, tickets are $25 and it benefits the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and CSOL® Music Scholarships.

I have to start with this room because it was one of my favorites.  Designed by Holly Hollingsworth Phillips of The English Room this dining room is the epitomy of fabulousness.  With wallpaper by Taylor Burke Home and Iris Apfel bottlecap art made by Molly Bright, I wanted to move in right away!

The master bedroom designed by Lauren Messina and bathroom designed by Terri Baldwin was beautifully paired with this wedding gown from Bridal House of Charleston.

The upstairs teen hangout designed by Meg Caswell was my other favorite room.  Retro influences with lots of color, pattern and texture went great with this outfit that Venita is wearing from Maris DeHart.

The second floor piazza was designed by design duo Gordon Dunning.  Black and white was clearly the theme and this romper from Escapada Living is the ultimate outdoor loungey outfit to go with it.

The music room designed by Bobbi Jo Engelby of Domain Interiors & Design was paired with this custom jacket on the dress form by Gramercy Atelier. The designer of Gramercy incorporated the room by using the same fabric of the pillow on the couch.  A match made in design heaven!

The man and lady’s study was designed by Alexandre Fleuren and the earthy tones and textures was perfectly paired with this look from Ibu.

The garden veranda designed by Catherine M. Austin was styled like a Palm Beach getaway.  The kelly green with pops of pink and palm prints were a big dose of sunshine.  I especially love the silk pillows by The Blush Label, a local accessory company that designs all of their prints.
