Holiday Gift Ideas From Freshfields Village

Last weekend I took the Serrano clan to the The Andell Inn where we relaxed and scouted out a few boutiques at Freshfields Village for some pre-holiday shopping.  I was trying to will some cooler temps with this furry ensemble from J. McLaughlin.  This Vail faux fur vest is probably the softest thing I’ve ever worn, it’s like wearing a stuffed animal.

I was so happy that we could bring Roxy & Pepper along for our stay at The Andell Inn.  We love taking our pups with us when we travel and it’s always nice to discover hotels that accommodate pets.  This chic boutique hotel is one of our favorite places to get away because their living room suite/kitchenette is perfect for families.  They’re warm, modern ski chalet vibe is so fitting for a fall/winter stay, but if you come when it’s warmer it’s always nice to lounge at the pool.  We also love the breakfast buffet complete with that all you can eat D.I.Y. waffle station.  A hit with the kids, and adults too:)

I think the pups got spoiled the most with our trip to Dolittle’s.  It was their version of Sebastian and Mateo going to Wonder Works.  They were sniffing, wagging and wanted to stay all day exploring the pet emporium of fun.  We loaded up on treats and Roxy & Pepper chose to snuggle up with these chew toys rather than rip them up.

I’m a dachshund lover to the core, but I have a sweet spot for french bulldogs.  I must not be the only one because I’ve seen so many of them popping up on accessories and household items like these speakers from Wonder Works.  What a cool and stylish way to listen to your favorite music?  Plus it’s wireless!

Another toy the boys loved was Gizmo, the robot dog.  He listens to commands better than my own dogs.  He responds to sit, lay down, rollover, and even showtime where he does a little dance to music.  So if your kids are nagging to get a dog this holiday season but your not sure if your ready to commit, give Gizmo a spin.

Blue Mercury always has great gift ideas for the person in your life that needs to be pampered.  These Lune and Aster vitamin c + e lipgloss samplers are perfect for a stocking stuffer.  I’m wearing Bestie.

This is a busy month for Freshfields Village starting with their Sip and Stroll this Thursday from 4-7pm.  Take advantage of sales and promotions with boutiques and restaurants.  Then Santa comes to the Village on November 24th for their Holiday Festival.  Santa will be there starting at 10am and the festival is from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Kids of all ages can enjoy an afternoon of free activities including face painting, balloon animals, inflatable games, bungee trampoline, and various craft booths.  Don’t forget to stop by Santa’s Workshop all weekend to share your wish list and take a photo with the Big Man himself.  If you can’t make it on that Saturday don’t worry, Santa will be there Friday, November 23 (10:00 am to 6:00 pm) and Sunday, November 25 (1:00 to 6:00 pm).  Hope to see you all there!
