Even though it’s been chilly in the Lowcountry, spring is here and I’m looking forward to it warming up this week. Just in time for the Spring Festival happening at Freshfields Village.
The Village is alway hopping this time of year and the festivities begin on Friday with Music on the Green from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, featuring Shem Creek Boogie Band. Then on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm their annual Spring Festival will be packed with kid-friendly activities, an interactive musician, photos with the Easter bunny and a meet and greet fire safety event with the St. Johns Fire Dept. And there’s always something for the adults to do including taking in the art from the Seabrook Island Artists Guild. My boys always enjoy the kid activities and us adults love popping in and out of stores and having lunch at one of our favorites – Fuji Sushi, Cantina 76, or La Tela. And if your looking to do something different for your Easter Mass, then Freshfields Village will be hosting a service on Sunday on the green at 9:30 am.
If your looking for new spring pieces to add into your wardrobe, then pop into Tres Carmen Kiawah. They’re always surprising me with new brands like this dress by Misa. They also recently started carrying Elizabeth & James jewelry which always makes a statement. You can’t go wrong with a black bag and this timeless one by Taxidermy is something you’ll have for life.
