Getting to stay at the chic Restoration Hotel during Charleston Fashion Week a couple of weeks ago was a dream come true. My hectic schedule was filled with trunk shows, photoshoots, judging commitments, on top of my usual blogging and social media duties. Having a home base downtown this year made a world of difference and gave me piece of mind.
The beauty of The Restoration is that every room is a suite so you instantly feel like your at home, but a more luxurious version of that. Each room is stocked with an Ipad, Smart TV, and and a mini bar that’s stocked with delicious munchies including local favorite Callie’s Biscuits.
And let’s talk about this bed. The massive King size bed piled up with the softest pillows made it easy to crash in and hard to get out of in the morning.
You can tell every little detail was thought of in every inch of the space. One of my favorites was the vintage typewriter with a note from the owners saying “Dear Guest, Welcome to The Restoration. We look forward to re-creating history together. Warm regards, The Andersons”

The Upper King Street area is infamously known for it’s densely populated bars and restaurants, but that’s quickly changing. A handful of local shops have opened up in the past year including the most recent one – Mosa Boutique. When you walk into this clean, modern space your greeted warmly by friendly people and quickly consumed by the exciting merchandise everywhere. This trend conscious boutique carries brands and represents a look that can be found in bigger, urban cities. Founder of Mosa, Sarah Cobb is thrilled to bring new brands to Charleston and outfit both men and women. Her new concept boutique combines fashion and lifestyle by offering a mini bar where you can start a tab while you shop or just kick one back while you enjoy one of their in store events.
