Scouting out Kiawah

It seems like Kiawah is a buzz with all of the new shops opening up in Freshfields Village including Scout & Molly’s who opened up last year.   Darcy Whalen, the owner stocks her store with a wide variety of clothing and accessories in a great price range for women of all ages.   Their seasoned “retail therapists” are always there to help build outfits and are always available virtually via FaceTime.   Carrying labels like Clara Sun Woo, Gretchen Scott, Crazy Larry , Joy Joy, Jade and Joseph Ribkoff, they offer brands that are distinct to the Lowcountry.

I love this shift dress by Joy Joy because it’s the perfect transitional dress from summer to fall.  We all know how warm it can be well into the autumn months in Charleston, and the colors in this dress make it more in season and on point.  The lace up detail in the back give it that special something I always look for in my clothes.

A couple of weeks I ago I featured Scout & Molly’s on Lowcountry Live for my Fashion over 40 segment.  It’s something that I’ve wanted to feature for a while and Scout & Molly’s was the perfect store to partner up with.   I think it’s important to celebrate women of all ages, especially those who have paved the way for the next generation.   I styled a mother and daughter who showed off a couple of glamorous outfits that are appropriate for any age.

So next time your in Freshfields Village pop by Scout & Molly’s.  You never know what treasures you might find.
