Last March I discovered an incredibly talented accessory designer Ellia Wang, thanks to our mutual friend Daniel Velasco. Ellia who is based out of Savannah, and an alum of SCAD, creates the most beautifully designed and handmade modern handbags and jewelry. Each bag has it’s own personality, whether it’s a geometric futuristic bag or a nature inspired mineral printed clutch, each is one of a kind. She recently launched a philanthropic program called Share Your Dream with her co-founder and fashion marketing agent Elva Jiang of ELVAINE. It supports The First Tee of Savannah, which is an organization that develops children’s personal potential, and optimize their health and enjoyment of life through golf. The programs goals are to heighten children’s imagination about their future, and laying the foundation for their success.
At each Share Your Dream workshop, paper and crayons are provided for kids to draw out their dreams. After the workshop, drawings get printed onto Ellia Wang’s Sharp Wristlet design and then displayed in store for purchase. Each sold wristlet provides enough scholarship for one kid to enroll in a season of The First Tee program. I’m so excited that my son Mateo’s art was used on one of Ellia’s bags! I scanned one of my favorite paintings of Mateo’s and sent it to Ellia to use on a bag. She printed the image on suede and constructed this beautiful bag in a week! I couldn’t be anymore proud than to carry an original work of art from Mateo on a bag that means so much.
I was so happy that I could carry this bag while wearing this Synergy dress from Be the Change Boutique. The Synergy brand gives back to the global community by working with non profit groups in Nepal focused on providing financial empowerment to women and education for children to help build a healthy future for those people and generations to come. Shopping at Be The Change has really opened up my eyes to so many brands that give back to countless local and global charities.

I couldn’t help but sneak in some shots at the beautiful hotel we were staying at, The Andaz. The modern and graphic lobby went perfectly with the dress.
