This James Island women’s boutiques always has a great selection of clothes and accessories. I always seem to find more than a few things that I’m coveting, like this outfit with the Quay sunglasses and these Jeffrey Campbell booties. Yes, those are faux pearls in the heels! Just when I thought I had plenty of black boots, I couldn’t pass these up.
The earrings and rings are from Gold Creations, my little gem of a store on Market Street in the heart of downtown Charleston. The family owned shop that has been there for over 40 years sells an eclectic mix of Charleston inspired jewelry to fine jewelry like this cocktail ring that always makes a statement.
I recently discovered a new southern brand – Dewdrop Designs. Designer Gillian Stevens splits up her time between Beaufort, SC and Charlotte, NC. The laid back and wearable sensibility mixed with some bags sporting a cheeky sayings makes her accessories so much fun. She’s influenced by the south and travel so each bag is designed with form and function in mind. I love this canvas pouch that can be used as a cosmetic case or a clutch. Gillian’s online store is stock full of all kinds of goodies that are perfect for holiday gifts, but you’ll probably find yourself shopping for you as well. You can also buy her bags locally at Noddy Charleston on Queen Street near King Street.
