Finding the perfect furniture for our newly renovated space is like fitting the perfect pieces to a puzzle. My design inspo was an ode to art deco with a modern twist. I love how blush and emerald green contrast together and I really wanted a way to combine feminine and masculine elements harmoniously. With a house full of testosterone I had to balance it out with a little bit of estrogen.
We knew we wanted a sectional in a velvet material that we could just sink into. I searched high and low for an emerald green velvet sectional with a retro-modern design. I finally found what I was looking for at Rove Concepts. The prices are undeniably reasonable for what you get. Sometimes you roll the dice when you order sight unseen, but we were not disappointed when we received this green beauty. The color was just as lush as online and the quality is exceptional. We were able to choose what color we wanted in the legs and I’m glad we went with the black to tie in with our black doors and kitchen.
We wanted to find a graphic rug that would bring the room together. Thankfully Steven Shell Living had the perfect one. The size and design was exactly what we were looking for. They also carry a large assortment of home accessories and I was happy to find black and white vases that went with the rug. Their Mt. Pleasant store quadrupled in size since the last time I went there and I’m excited to go back to find other accents for my home.
Luckily I found the pink velvet ottoman at the Celadon Warehouse sale. You never know what you’ll find at their warehouse and that pink ottoman was just waiting for me.
My Chambers Austelle print has a new happy home in the entrance way of our house. I’m obsessed with her art and I can’t wait to collect more of it. If you’re looking for statement art that features gorgeous women, then check out Chambers’ work. I guarantee you’ll be smitten like me.
We still have a few more things to do in this room like paint the front doors black and get curtains, but at least the major work is done and we can enjoy it. Stay tuned for more Curated Home updates!
