I love it when I find new boutiques in Charleston, especially when it’s just down the street from my house. Enter Rhodes Boutique, the family owned boutique located in South Windermere that seems to have it all. Caroline Rhodes first opened her West Ashely store with monogramming services and gifts and slowly expanded into a full scale boutique wide variety of clothing, accessories, and gifts for men, women, and even baby. It’s a family affair with her oldest daughter, McNair managing the store and keeping up with the buying and social media.
It really is a one-stop shop for gifts for any occasion including weddings (they have a bridal registry), baby showers, birthdays and anniversaries. I believe that you can never have enough shopping in Charleston, and I’m glad that Rhodes Boutique is filling that niche in an area that’s convenient for so many living in James Island, West Ashley, and downtown. Familiar national brands sit alongside the rising stars in the Charleston accessory market like The Goldbug Collection and Margerite and Motte.
Their clothing brands include Tyler Boe, Julie Brown, Crosby by Mollie Burch, Jude Connally, LillaP, and Shoshanna. They also carry accessories by Gigi New York, Moyna, Sheila Fajl, Shiver and Duke, Allie Beads, with the recent addition of Moon and Lola.
Croghan’s Jewelry Box on King Street is hosting a Valentine’s Day trunk show with Jude Frances February 14th and 15th. This elegant brand combines classic with on trend shapes and styles, with endless combinations including the signature earring hoop and charm concept, stack-able gold bangles, long layering chains and pendants, stylish cocktail rings and simple gold stackers.
Blush and forest green are my new favorite color combo!
If you’re looking for a chic and posh restaurant to try then book a table at Tradd’s. The new restaurant on East Bay serves the best sharing plates and savory seafood main courses.
Another new retail discovery for me this week was Sandler’s Diamonds and Time. They have such a niche selection of the most exquisite diamond jewelry and classic watches for men. I love recommending my favorite new places to my friends and even better when I get to share it on Lowcountry Live. Tune into today at 10am for Valentine’s Day gift ideas from Rhodes Boutique, Sandler’s Diamonds and Time, and Tradd’s. If you miss it you can always watch my episode online anytime.
Be sure to follow this post on my Instagram because I’m giving away a $100 gift certificate to Rhodes Boutique & Tradd’s. Contest ends on Monday February 11th, so hurry up to enter and one lucky winner will get their Valentine’s Day gift early!
