Caped Crusader

Sometimes it can be a challenge to dress in Charleston.  One minute it’s 70 degrees and the next minute it’s 50  degrees.  The secret to dressing in the south is layers and this outfit is perfect when the weather is acting bi-polar. The cape, sweater, and hat are from Dandy Boutique, the cutest little shop on John Street in the Upper King area downtown.  I love how the cape can transform the most basic outfit into a chic little ensemble on the town.

The jeans are by Ellison Apparel from House of Sage, my go to shop on George Street located pretty much on the College of Charleston campus.  I love them because they’re the perfect cropped flare length for my vertically challenged height.  Get use to them because they’ll be appearing on my blog again soon.

I’m having a navy moment right now and this bag by Neely & Chloe captures it all.  I discovered this New York based accessory company a couple of weeks ago at a pop up they were having at The Dewberry. Sisters Neely and Chloe Burch have designed a line of classicly chic handbags and shoes at attainable prices.  My leather Lady Bag Saffiano is only $168!  The sisterly duo just launched their line in the fall, and have already created a name for themselves. With experience working with the most prominent brands in the world such as Sotheby’s and J.Crew, it’s no wonder the sisters were destined for greatness. You can even customize your bag with your initials with their Workshop service.  And if your in New York then visit them at their pop up shop at 373 Bleeker Street until January.  Happy Shopping!
