Freshfields Village always comes alive in the springtime and this month is full of activities. This Thursday is their monthly Sip & Stroll where you can enjoy special sales, promotions, events, tasty treats and sips in participating shops and restaurants from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
Most of the businesses at Freshfields are offering special promotions including the Andell Inn for live jazz music from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and enjoy a cocktail at the Porch Bar, Beija Flor Jeans is offering 15% off your entire purchase, half-priced Original Margaritas at Cantina 76, 15% off any piece of jewelry at Holly & Brooks, Islands Mercantile will be servings snacks and drinks along with special gifts on purchases of $40+, all customers making purchases from 4:00 to 7:00 pm will be entered in $50 gift card raffle at J.McLaughlin, Palmetto Scent Studio will offer 15% off regularly priced scented items, visit Peyton William Jewelry for 20% off new Spring in-stock styles and enter the Sip & Stroll raffle, shop Vineyard Vines for 20% off purchases of $150+, and receive a FREE Easter Basket at Wonder Works with any purchase of Easter goodies over $25.
And if you’re looking to do a Pre-Easter family friendly event, then check out their annual Spring Festival this Saturday, April 20th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. There will be a jump castle, inflatable slide, mechanical bull (my family favorite), face-painting, balloon animals, spring crafts, and you can even perform on stage with an interactive band. Plus, be sure to bring your camera to snap a photo with the Easter Bunny as he hops through the Village. Enjoy tasty treats from local food vendors including sno-cones, kettle korn, popsicles, BBQ and more!
If you need a little spring to your step then fuel up on some caffeine at Java Java. Every 3rd Saturday of the month they host Cars & Coffee featuring antique and vintage cars like this one from my good friend Bruce. They’re skipping this Saturday because of the Springfest but they’ll be back again next month.
This fun dress and accessories are from Tres Carmen. I love swinging by their Kiawah outpost because they carry different merchandise than their James Island and Mt. Pleasant locations. Shop exclusive lines like Misa who makes this dress, and earrings by J. Melissa Designs. I love that Michelle, the owner of Tres Carmen carries locally owned brands. J. Melissa Designs has been on my radar since last year because she not only designs gorgeous jewelry, she gives back a portion of each sale to local charities and the Mengo Children’s Foundation of Uganda.
And if you love sweet vintage rides like this then you don’t want to miss out on Cars On Kiawah on May 4th. Drool over 250 of the region’s most outstanding automobiles, in the scenic location of Ocean Park on Kiawah Island.
